Office Assistant

Expedition Subsahara is seeking a highly organized, proactive and communicative individual to serve as an office assistant. The successful candidate will have a love for handmade goods, a passion for maintaining the brand of Expedition Subsahara and enthusiasm for creating a positive customer journey with the other members of our team.

Job Description

Working closely with the our Head of Operations and warehouse associates, this role will help ensure consistent, timely and organized operations in both the front and back-of-house at our physical location in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (time flexible)

Compensation: $16 to $18 an hour

- Processing customer returns accurately and efficiently

- Develop a working knowledge of top products, customer and inventory needs.

- Relay customer feedback to the team to help create a positive customer journey from start to finish.

- Support Creative Manager, including but not limited too, creating behind the scenes video and photo content for social media.

- Provide calendar management, coordinating logistics and expense reports.

- General office coordination (manage office supplies, vendor management, clean up, set up for events, receiving) under direction of the operational manager.

- Assist with general clerical duties like expense reports, ordering supplies, filing, taking facility calls and transferring, and all other duties as assigned.

- Highly organized, with an ability to effectively multi-task, solve problems and prioritize both independently and as part of a team.

- A self-motivated individual who takes initiative and holds themselves accountable for both accuracy of their work and meeting deadlines.

- Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly.

- Must have 1-2 years of experience in administrative assistance.

- Must be extremely detail-oriented.

- Must be proficient in excel.
